The topic im writing about is Joan of Arc,if you dont know who that is i'm gonna tell you her story.In the hundred year war she believed that she was acting under divine guidance and then she led the french to victory.

Joan was born in 1412 Domremy,Bar France and she died in May 30,1431,was the former daughter of a tenant farmer in domremy.Joan was never taught how to read or write,but yet her mother gave her the teachings of catholic religion and joan loved it .At the time when joan was young france was torn apart by the british conflict and was later known as the 100 year war.A peace treaty was made between france and england which put the prince out of rule and made king Henry V ruler of both France and England,Joan and many other families were forced to leave the village due to the threat of an invasion.The main reason behind her story was how she led the french to

After seeing the prince crowned King Charles VII, Joan was captured by Anglo-Burgundian forces, tried for witchcraft and heresy and burned at the stake in 1431, at the age of 19. By the time she was officially canonized in 1920, the Maid of Orléans (as she was known) had long been considered one of history’s greatest saints, and an enduring symbol of French unity and nationalism.Before all this happened,at the age of 13, Joan began to hear voices, which she determined had been sent by God to give her a mission of overwhelming importance, to save France by expelling its enemies and to place Charles as its rightful king. As part of this divine mission, Joan took a vow of chastity.
