ABSTRACT
Communication is very important in functioning of organization. Communication plays an important role in efficient and effectiveness of an organization. In an organization communication goes on continuously and it doesn’t stop at any point of time. The existence of an organization depends upon the teamwork, leadership, effective management, unity of command etc all depends upon the interpersonal communication. So communication is a backbone of an organization and it should have a proper flow in an organization for the effective functioning.

Interpersonal communication is a process by which people in an organization exchange information, feelings etc with each other. This information sharing is horizontally and vertically.

When an individual converts his idea into message, and that message is communicated to other person by any medium. To complete the communication process, receiver must understand and give a feedback of the message. When the feedback is given by the receiver then the communication is said to be complete.

Role of Non-Verbal Communication in Interpersonal Communication
Non-verbal communication is also important in interpersonal communication. Non-verbal communications are signs or emotions or body language which is communicated to other person. Sometimes words are not enough or to make other person understand we use non- verbal communications.
Non- verbal communication is depicted differently by different person. Like facial expression or emotions have different meaning in it. Receiver of the message might understand different meaning of what sender is trying to convey as receiver might understand it differently. Another way of non-verbal communication is the body language. Like we shake our head up and down in order to agree on something or shake sideways if we disagree on something or we shake hands to say hello and so on. We use non verbal communication everyday.

Interpersonal Communication and Business Communication

Interpersonal communication is like talking to a friend, family, peer, classmate etc. This also includes relaxed talk or informal communication between the people. Whereas business communication is used for transferring the information like e-mails, letters, phone calls etc.

Interpersonal communication is when two or more people communicate in or beyond the roles of the circumstances at that point of time.
