Why Goal Setting is important? The number-one reason people don’t succeed is because they don’t have any goals to succeed. Imagine you climb a bus without knowing where you want to go. Goal setting gives the direction and focus. In today’s world, we find many people do not have goals and drift in life endlessly. Is goal setting really effective? Why have Goals and Limit yourselves? I have some of my friends tell me that setting goals limit you. By having a personal goal of making 1 million dollars a year you are limiting yourself to 1 million dollars a year and nothing more. Instead don’t set any goal and keep take whatever comes your way. You may end up making much more than 1 million dollars. How Goal setting can change you? …show more content…
It is such an irony that people somehow limit themselves by their thinking, and it is not goals that limit. Who is asking them to have smaller goals? They can have goals, which cannot limit them in any way. It is not enough to have goals, but you should have such big goals that none in the humanity can ever have any goal bigger than the goal you have. The higher and larger your goals are, greater the power. Once there was a bunch of three labourers lifting stones for a construction on the top of a hill. They were working very hard. However, a passer-by could see that one among them was working with great energy and joy while the other two were very sad. It made passer-by very inquisitive. He approached them and asked what they are doing and why they are doing what they are doing. One person said with anger; are you not seeing we are lifting stones, and I have to do it to earn my living? He was very angry and was cursing everyone. When the passer-by asked the second person, he said that he is lifting stones and doing it because he wants his child to study well and not do the same job that he is doing. He was more energetic when compared to the first person but still looked sad. The passer-by asked the third person, and he said joy fully that he is lifting stones so that he could build a church which can redeem thousands of people.
