The purpose of an honors program is to provide an opportunity for academically motivated students, such as myself, to challenge themselves. I believe that such an opportunity is available to any self motivated student seeking opportunities beyond the classroom, despite social status. Personally, I was attracted to the Natural Sciences Program because of the integrated clinical and research experiences early on in the curriculum. One should recognize that these programs go in depth, hence not everyone is willing to commit to the hard work required by the program.
