The group I am currently considering is StuMo, which stands for Student Mobilization. Some of the reasons why I am interested in StuMo are that I am looking to grow spiritually, meet new people, develop leadership skills, and strengthen my character, while also having something to occupy my time here at the University. It is an interdenominational student group, whose mission statement is to raise up laborers for Christ from college campuses and mold these laborers to future leaders. Michael, I have to agree with you, this was a challenging yet rewarding semester! Honestly, I love classes like this because at the end of the semester I end up taking so much with me to use at work and home. In addition, I really enjoyed Dr. Thomas pushing our minds to think more critically about our adaptive plans and expanding our limited points of view when dealing with adaptive management. Overall, I was extremely happy with the effort my group put into this project. In terms of attending the group meetings, everyone was present and participated in the discussion. The first meeting took place on a Sunday afternoon at Baruch and the second meeting took place on a weeknight in the form of a Google Hangout. The times and places of these meetings alone displayed every group members’ commitment to the project, effort to accommodate for scheduling conflicts, and effort to ensure they are contributing their fair share to the group regardless the time or day of the week.
