Gillette Razor's Persuasive Technique

After viewing several commercials and analyzing the persuasive techniques we had studied, I found the Gillette razor commercial to be the best at influencing its target audience. The advertising in the commercial uses techniques such as bandwagon, transfer, and testimonial. During the commercial, the testimonial technique was obvious as soon as it showed the three famous athletes flaunting the razor. Throughout the video, the appearance of a globe brought in our second technique, the transfer. This technique shows that the globe and background music repeating “The world is mine” brings in the feeling of being omnipotent and confident with the Gillette razor.
