It appears everywhere in today’s media. It appears while one is listening to the radio, watching television, surfing the web or reading a magazine. Advertisements are in every corner trying its best to catch people’s attention while they are doing everyday normal routines. For example, while someone is waiting to watch a video on Youtube, there will be an ad before the video. Advertisements grab our attention when it is something that can meet our needs or wants. Products or services convince people by using ethos, logos or pathos appeals. For instance, Fenty Beauty by Rihanna commercial encourage women to feel confident and to embrace their beauty by encouraging these ladies to buy the makeup products which is such a success. In the beginning of the commercial it presents a beautiful young woman of color walking in slow motion. In the background you can hear her footsteps which sounds like she is wearing high heels and then various ladies are presented. There is no dialogue in the commercial, but it clearly reaches out to women as models are presented with a runway atmosphere. In other words, these ladies in the commercial demonstrate fierce and bold facial and body language as it is presented in the urban area where fashion and style are most likely presented.
