Not all girl delinquents are going to comply with the rules of the system. There are always going to be those few who do not seek the help they need because of pride and so forth. This can cause many issues such as, mistakes made while conducting research. Also, many girls’ feel as if no one wants to help them but hurt them because of how victimized they have become in society. Girls are constantly being assessed throughout their entire lives. According to Liz Watson and Peter Edelman some examples to help resolve these issues could be to “create programs that should be all female whenever possible; having girls being treated in the least restrictive environment, whenever possible; creating programs close to girls’ homes in order to maintain family relationships; programs should be consistent with female development and stress the role of relationships between staff members and girls; and programs should address the needs of parenting and pregnant teens (2012, p. 4).” These programs need to be created that examine the minds of girls in order to reduce problems of girls’ delinquency. Such actions would benefit the juvenile justice system to understand the minds of both boys’ and girls’ delinquency and make it stronger. The system also needs to focus on the positive aspects of girls and not so much the negative in order to help them function better in society. This would benefit society in many ways because it would allow the system to function in favor of all children, not just boys. Maybe the juvenile justice system needs to be forced to have policy makes to create a system that only focuses on girls. If the juvenile justice system would take these things into consideration and add them to their system protocol then female delinquents would be able to comply with the system
