Everybody has two faces, the one they show others, and the one they only show themselves. I consider these faces to be masks, classified as an “Outer mask” and an “ Inner mask”. Your outer mask, or the one you share with others, is representational of your “fake self”. It's who people see as they walk past you in the halls hurriedly on their way to class. Your inner mask, or the one you only show yourself, is the mask that reveals the rawest and realest parts of you that only a select few get a glimpse of. I hope you understand, that this is just a large metaphor for who we are when surrounded by others vs when were alone with ourselves.
