Exoskeleton vs Robot-Assisted Gait Training Post Robot-Assisted Gait Intervention in Parkinson’s Disease Patients with Mild Symptoms: a random controlled trial

Exoskeletons are a developing technology used in gait training, mainly with patients diagnosed with a spinal cord injury (SCI) or a stroke( 9,6). Some research has been done in patients with other neurological disabilities such as multiple sclerosis (MS), but nothing has been done to address the Parkinson’s disease (PD) population. However, robot-assisted gait training has been used on all of these populations, and successfully so in individuals with mild PD (2).
