I would first like to acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land that we meet at, the Yarrgera people.
A few weeks ago we heard on live television Sonia Kruger give her point of view regarding Muslim immigration.
She stated she wanted a ban on Muslim immigration because she wants to “feel safe”.
It is therefore ironic that many people no longer feel safe expressing what is rapidly becoming a commonly held view — for fear of being abused, branded a bigot, or even threatened with violence.
Stereotypes are a big problem in our society. It puts labels about how a person should act or live according to their sex, race, personality, and other facts.
Personally, I hate the fact that people should think or believe that I should be required to act in a certain way because of my sex, personality, ethnicity, and religion. …show more content…

I hate all these, because people are creating a concept of me based only on what they see, but not who I actually am
Everyone goes through the stage in their life they are subject to stereotyping.
In this generation/era we live in, stereotyping has become a thing of the norm.
Race and religion are the biggest forms of stereotyping. The current more evident type of stereotyping is that of Muslims or Islam practitioners.
