Practicing humility is part of being kind, in fact, one could say putting someone ahead of yourself is the definition of kindness, and therefore very important in God’s eyes. The root of almost every sin is putting your own importance over someone else’s, it makes sense for the Bible to promote humility and want it’s followers to be humble, and by being humble you are already following many of the laws God has set out for us to follow.
Although many aspects of Romans 5 and The Sermon on the Mount differ from one another, their core messages are the same. Each passage shares the ideals of humility, respect, and caring for everyone, especially those who you may consider your enemy. The echoing of these messages in the Bible really stresses the impact that they have on the christian lifestyle and ideals.
