The term conspiracy refers to an agreement between two (or more) people to perform an illegal act. If the object of said conspirators will violate a federal criminal statute, it is considered a federal conspiracy. Any agreement meant to defraud the Government is regarded as a conspiracy even when there is no specific statute that delineates the anticipated act as fraudulent.

• If serious injury or death occurs – 20 years to life; or
• If a repeat offender and serious injury or death occurs – life.
Simple Possession of a Controlled Substance
• One previous conviction – 15 days to 2 years; or
• Two or more previous convictions – 90 days to 3 years.

• 20 years to life;
• with at least one previous conviction – 30 years to life;
• operation grossing $10 million plus/year – life; or
• killing in furtherance – 20 years to life/death penalty.
