Throughout our lives we are always seeking for the purpose of our existence, something that drives us. This drive is known as passion. One of the many interpretations of passion is described as “any powerful or compelling emotion or feeling” (Webster’s Dictionary). This emotion is felt when a dancer stays at the studio, longer than required, practicing until one move is absolutely perfect or when a detective will not close his case until he finds the fugitive. Your passion is what ultimately consumes your life, from your actions to your thoughts.
Passion is often confused with being an interest because it can be something you obsess over but not something you devote your life to. This is what sets those that are passionate apart from those that are going through the motions of life. Passion is not something that you just put on the shelf and then take it down whenever you feel like it, this is something

There have also been instances when people say “I want to do this but the job doesn’t pay well.” Personally I would rather struggle to pay my bills in order to feed my craving for my passion than be financially secure and depriving myself of what I love. It is understandable that someone would sacrifice their passion in order to live a secure life but what is the fun in that? Why would you put yourself through a job that pays well but makes you miserable? That is not why you are here. Are you truly making the most out of your life by throwing away your passion for money? No. This is why I need to find my passion because I do not want to end up as the lady sitting at the cubicle filling out paperwork all day and just waiting for that freedom known as a break just to get a nice paycheck.
