The song describes the feeling of fear that no one will ever notice you in bridge of the song. “When you’re falling in the forest and there’s nobody around do you ever really crash or even make a sound?” This is coupled with lines earlier in the song that describe the fear of being seen. “Give them no reason to stare, no slipping up if you slip away.” In people with gad these two fears often coincide in the same person.
