Ethank You Ma Am Analysis

Have you ever been judged or looked at wrong by others? The protagonists in the two stories ¨Wonder¨ and ¨Thank You Ma’am¨ have. It seems as if the two stories have a different theme but they but if you look closely you can see that both of the authors are trying to teach us that it is wrong to judge someone.

In ¨Wonder¨ The author shows us that it is what on the inside that counts. In the beginning of the story everyone at school made fun of Auggie because of his deformed face that he had many surgeries on. No one came even close to touching him let alone getting to know him. In the resolution of the story summer just sits by Auggie because she feels bad for him. After a couple of days she gets to know the real Auggie and realizes that he has a fun personality. We can learn by the actions that Summer has toward Auggie and it is that you should not be the critic to someone else.

In ¨Thank You Ma’am¨ The author shows that you should never judge someone because they can change. In the beginning of the story, Roger one of the protagonist is a thief who tried to steal from a woman named Mrs. Jones. Mrs. Jones knew that he was only doing this to survive. ¨Thank You Ma’am¨ is a short story that teaches you anybody can change their life and start on the right path to do great things.¨Wonder¨ Is a chapter book that shows us it is the personality that counts and not the way they look as an overruling decision.
