This article discusses Community Health Workers and the many aspects of their job, including education. Community health workers are individuals who are dedicated to serving and developing their community and often doing so by providing needed health care info and services. These workers are common and can be found in almost all communities, especially in those of need. The duties vary widely, but are all important. From helping their community with health insurance, good, housing to delivering info to citizens about health info and providing resources to counselors. All sources discuss how wide the field is and how greatly it can vary. One does not have to be a doctor to be considered a healthcare worker... when in actuality many healthcare workers are hard working people who are not doctors. A community health worker is a perfect example, these workers never directly provide care to citizens, but rather provide them resources and infomation that they did not have access to before and this will likely enhance the communities health. These workers are just as important because they often bring these citizens to one's who are providing care. Another aspect that was interesting about community health workers is they come across to me as advocates for these who may not always have the best access to health care, especially during tough times when the costs can be high and not all can afforded proper care. Community health workers ensure and finds ways to make sure people are still taking care of even in the hardest times. Overall, both of these articles highlighted aspects that were discussed in the reading. From how the field is one of the biggest career fields in US and how the field is every growing and dominant and ensures a successful and strong career
