Last sunday, I worked in Westfield Mall food court at San Francisco as a cashier, our goal that day was to sell our food more than $20 per customer. We should recommend our expensive food but they would satisfied. During in the afternoon, there was a student asked which one was the cheapest but good in our menu, I was going to say that those were not enough for him, and he could just buy the expensive ones instead. Our manager told us that, we should recommend the $20 combo per meal to all customers do not let them buy the $10 clam chowder by itself. I mean, $10 of chowder is enough for one customer and it depends if they want to add more. But, this student was different, he was trying to save money. So, I recommend him the $10 of clam

The setting of my 2nd focus child was a Little Bucs in the preschool room (Inventors) in the classroom, but we did visit the ETSU library during my first observation. They are 48 months-60 months. I observed a 48 month old, male. I will refer to the student I observed as "P." I observed from 10:00-11:30 both sessions. The classroom was reasonably big, but the floor was opened with toys and an upstairs area where the students can go and hang up there.…

During this conversation we discussed his protocol for observations and what he is looking for while in classrooms. For this assignment, I decided to visit Wayne Township Preschool which was one of my placements for my special education class last year. It visited the classroom that I was in last year and was able to see some of my old students. The WTP is located on High School Rd. and Washington St and is connected to Ben Davis University High School. It is a pretty big school with 294 students enrolled in pre-school and 102 enrolled in child care ranging for 3-5 years of age.…

Over winter break, I had the opportunity to work as a substitute preschool teacher at the Jewish Community Center of Columbus Ohio. I was placed in the Turtle Room, the classroom for two to three year olds. Since a large part of the student population is Jewish, the preschool cafeteria only provided Kosher foods. I distinctly remember one day talking to the lead teacher in the classroom, Amanda about how one little boy, Henry would never eat his lunch or snacks. Henry would stick to only the foods that he knew like mandarin oranges or carrots and that was all he would eat.…

As a result of my observation it became evident to me the use of the arts throughout all classrooms. Indeed, student artwork was noticeably displayed in all five classrooms. Also, from my observation I noticed that teachers encouraged children to look at the different colors to paint and create artistic drawings. In the preschool classroom I observed a previously completed assignment of student work where the use of color paper was use to make a home. But more importantly, students were asked to write a description of their work.…

On November 28, 2017, I spent my fourth day with class 3-213 at P.S. 45. During this time, I felt I was able to confidently encounter, converse, and assist the children with varying subject matters. At this point, the children even felt comfortable enough to ask me for help. Additionally, my cooperating teacher, Mrs. Jessica Diaz, is still extremely helpful and even allows me to teach the students in small-groups. By working in small-groups, I have been able to facilitate learning on an individualized level.…

As a regular customer, I ask that you (Franchise Management/Corporate) do not blame specific store management/supervisors/employees for every little thing that happens or that people complain about, not just in the aforementioned store but in ALL stores under your purview. Going back to the issues of Store #33739-0, let me present you with a scenario: Someone goings into a one of your restaurants and orders a tuna sandwich (let us assume that it already comes mixed with mayo). The staff member prepared the sub to ALL of the Corporate Management specifications, including the specific amount of mayo that was mixed in with the tuna. After taking a few bites, said customer complaints…

Mario and myself for the past 4 weeks have gone every Monday and Wednesday to either run the intervention or take the children’s measurements. Everyday we the researchers go to either the control or intervention classrooms to either discuss college or do exercise. It seems that the students are really enjoying our activities. When running the intervention during these past few weeks the teachers were extremely helpful, as they would sometimes join us and encourage the children. It was also really useful that the following week we had a change of setting.…

Introduction I am interning at an urban high school and work primarily in the attendance office with chronically truant students. This student (IP) was brought to me by the attendance dean because she was chronically late and her mother called the school asking for help. The student is a 15year old female student, diagnosed with depression, has a HX of cutting, suicidal ideations, and is actively abusing cannabis and potentially pills. The student does not receive outside therapy and is not mandated to counseling in the school so she only receives help from the social work staff when there is a crisis. The student has been coming to see me since the beginning of the year and has come to me 3 times with suicidal ideations.…

I really enjoyed the time I spent in Mrs. Flinn’s fourth grade classroom over Spring Break. I was able to observe for a total of four hours between Wednesday afternoon and Thursday morning. During my time with the fourth graders, I took a closer look at the solid behavior classroom supports being used. Along with these supports, I was extremely impressed by the way Mrs. Flinn handled classroom management. Even though I observed during a very exciting week, she had great control over her students.…
