As drivers, we face many instances of danger while behind the wheel: colliding with other drivers or even crashing in to pedestrians if a driver is not careful. The distraction of a driver only heightens said dangers and can be controlled. While some may argue that using a handheld cell phone while driving should be legal, they are wrong because without a law in place prohibiting this action, this will hinder drivers socially, economically, and politically. Its sad to look around and see people not enjoying life, they're just too invested in their phones to see what’s really happening. For instance, you’re driving with your two kids in the back seat when all of a sudden you get a phone call, you answer it and start driving and a truck runs into you, your kids get hurt and you know it was because you were too busy on your phone to pay attention to the road. Texting while driving is not acceptable. It’s a disturbance to the people on the road around you.…
