Just then, up in the distance, a prodigious, magnificent looking palace was unveiled. Hundreds of dazzling lights dressed the castle, illuminating it in the darkness of the cave. I couldn’t believe my eyes. The boat appeared to be sailing straight towards it, and I could see other boats drifting near its dock. Strangers were stepping off, wearing gaudy, grandiose apparel, moving toward the music and merriment coming from inside. It appeared we weren’t the only ones inside the cave.
“It’s very lavish,” Gemma stated, and I nodded silently staring straight ahead.

The sumptuous food was packed high and artistically arrayed.
“They say she will be arriving soon,” came a woman’s voice as she circle the table, reaching for a pink dessert.
“I hear her beauty is astonishing,” said a gentleman, twisting a fork in a greenish noodle dish. “I just worry for the other eligible young maidens who also carry a golden cup tonight. I hear there are a few that are quite as enchanting.”
“She won’t be jubilant about that, will she? Which makes me wonder,” said the lady, tracing a piece of the dessert with her finger then shoving it into her mouth. “Why is her cup is always the most golden?”
“She must be very virtuous in other ways unbeknownst to us,” said the man.
“Well, it isn’t fair now, is it. My cup is a very dull silver, but I am neither quite as vain nor temperamental,” the lady repined.
“Awe yes, but your gluttony and covetousness gets the best of you,” said the man, waving his fork
