Before the company makes the final decision to expand its operations to other countries, there are number of factors that need to be considered. The success of the business in a foreign country depends mainly on how much preparation was done prior to the expansion. If care is not taken, it can be a flop and can cost the company huge amounts of money. On the other hand, expanding to another country can open new opportunities for the company.

Sending expatriate staff requires immigration clearance, tax equalizations, allowances, insurance and other payments. It is important to have the knowledge about the rules and regulations of doing business in that country to avoid getting into trouble with the government.

Running a hotel comes with a variety of responsibilities. If you have a professional manner, friendly personality and are able to think on your feet then this might be the career for you. In the role of hotel manager you would be responsible for the day-to-day management of a hotel and its staff. You would have commercial accountability for budgeting and financial management, planning, organizing and directing all hotel services, including front-of-house (reception, concierge, and reservations), food and beverage operations, and housekeeping.

I believe Brunt should hire both expatriate and local managers. The expatriate have the wide knowledge about the operation of Brunt Hotels in UK. This knowledge is needed to be passed on to the new operation in France. On the other hand, the local managers knows exactly the working culture in France. The foreign managers cannot just dive on a new work environment without the help of the local people. For this reason, foreign managers can be paired with local managers as their assistants. The local Assistant Managers should be flaunt in both English and French in order to solve the language barrier.
Manager C and D are more qualified to take the new job due to vast knowledge they have in the hospitality industry. In order to gap up the skills they are short of, they need to undergo a training in multinational organization course. This will equip them with the knowledge and skills on different cultures around the world, especially
