Where you attend college is a critical decision, as it completely alters the direction your life will take. I've spent countless hours researching schools over the past few months, and can honestly say that no college has attracted me like Brandeis. Everything about it is perfect for me – the academics, location, size, diversity, and perhaps most of all, the principles of acceptance among the students and faculty. It's a place I could be myself and genuinely fit in. I'm confident that Brandeis will prepare me for life beyond college, both professionally and morally.

One of the most crucial elements of any college is that it challenges you to be your best, whether it's in class, on the playing field, or in any aspect of your life. Brandeis

The blacker the college, sweeter the knowledge. As kids, we see shows and movies such as A Different World and School Daze then imagine attending an HBCU being fun and adventurous. Not realizing and understanding the essence of having a place in the world where you can relate with people of different shades of melanin and personalities. Worth the Wait Medicine. Many people have had a profession from this field scrolled down on their imaginary or physical possible-professions list. However, this may not be the best profession for you. Many of the medical shows out there, such as Grey’s Anatomy, which both romanticizes and dramatizes the health field, are not the best reference for a wannabe-med-student. Medicine is a demanding field that people must prepare for, or else a lot of time and effort will be wasted.…

I would be honored to attend Brandeis because of its academic environment, research opportunities, and fundamental values. Through the commitment to open, honest inquiry and social justice, Brandeis has created a community of intellectual students I would be proud to join. Brandeis is unique in its encouragement of multi-disciplinary studies as well as multiple majors and minors. This program of study will allow me to blend my passion for history with an in-depth focus on the distinct areas in my original research which I plan to continue while pursuing a PhD. The university’s dedication to the development of student research is inherent in the faculty’s reputation for mentoring undergraduates.…
