For example, a situation arose between my teammates earlier in the year that I felt needed my input, a teammate had said something hateful about another teammate and was brought to my attention. For a while, the consensus was to retaliate against this person. I stated my opinion being that, instead of ganging up against her, why don’t we have a discussion face to face, and talk about the topic directly, rather making it into something it’s not. This way of thinking is sticking up for both parties, and giving each of them a chance to say what they want to say, and that’s what being a good leader is all about. Being a leader is standing up for what’s right, rather than falling in line with the rest of the mainstream crowd.
