Autotrophs and heterotrophs are dependent on each other, because heterotrophs rely on autotrophs. Autotrophs rely on photons, or photosynthesis. The process starts with a ray of sunlight, once the sunlight reaches a plant the plant uses the sunlight to help it make sugar which helps it create ATP molecules which is energy for it to live. In the process of photosynthesis there are six molecules of water, and of carbon dioxide react in the presence of chlorophyll and in sunlight to make 2 molecules of sugar, and six molecules of oxygen, which looks like 6H2O +6CO2- C6H12O6+6C2. There are two stages of photosynthesis, a light stage and a dark stage. The light stage was described above however, the dark stage is when the ATP and NADPH is stored, and these molecules were produced during the light stage. Heterotrophs then use or eat autotrophs which help them live and that is how heterotrophs rely on autotrophs.

In this stage numerous reactions can occur in the cell’s cytoplasm, and glycolysis will then take the molecule and break it down. The stage of cellular respiration is Krebs cycle, this cycle happens in mitochondria in eukaryotes and also in cytoplasm in prokaryotes. There are many steps to this cycle however enzymes, and catalysts have a big role in individual reactions. The pyruvic acid in created by reactions in glycolysis go through multiple reactions and create carbon dioxide and other products. The next stage in aerobic respirations is electron transport chain. In this stage multiple reactions create energy for cells. Oxygen is important to this stage because it serves as acceptor at the end of the chain. And then oxygen combines with hydrogen and creates water, this process looks like C6H12O6+6O2-
