Most sports teach you how to make friends and manners in front of other people. I am in school sports and most of the people I met are some of my best friends. The opposing side may argue many students don't need sports to meet good friends. Strangely enough, they are wrong because studies have shown those who are in sports tend to be more sociable than those who aren't. In other words, being more sociable is another reason many are against not funding school sports.

In conclusion, I am against suspending funds for school sports and the school board should be too. School sports can offer educational, health, and social benefits to students. They help students to focus. School sports also help keep people healthy and help students deal with their stress without using violence. They can also help students to make life-long friends. These are some of the reasons why I am against the board discontinue funds for school
