Sidewalk End Reflection

Improved Essays
In my earlier years of elementary school, I picked up ‘Where The Sidewalk Ends’ and I believe it, along with other experiences, has shaped me to be who I am today. I am an avid believer that culture and literature have an immense influence on people, myself being a prime example. Considering there are 1 million works (and counting) in the English language, it is difficult to choose just three to portray my most prominent personality features. The first, and best word that comes timing is capricious. I am prone to random changes in my mood, which ultimately affects my behaviour. Moreover, my experiences have allowed me to become an empathetic individual, which has ultimately allowed me to support and sympathize those under hardship. Furthermore, creative is another word that comes to mind, although it is overly used. I believe, creativity is a vital component in order to be unique and seeing that there are so many methods of expression, I like to express my individualism and creativity through my photography and writing.

The question I have asked myself repeatedly while writing this essay. After deep analyzation, I believe my preferences, dislikes, and experiences all come together to make me: Shanzeh; unique to the 7 billion people on earth. I believe my most prominent personality feature is my capriciousness. My mood is constantly fluctuating due to random thoughts and ideas. Additionally, my ability to empathize is a big part of my personality because it, in my eyes, is reflective on my experiences. Empathy and the ability to listen is extremely important to me. Moreover, one of the biggest influence in my life is the arts so it makes perfect sense that creativity is another one of my most prominent personality features. These three features: capricious, empathy, and creativity, all come together to perfectly describe my personality. Over the years, I hope that these features don 't fade away, but

Rustic Pathways is an organization that provides high school students with opportunities to work on international service projects as well as allowing students to see their ability to change and impact more than their everyday world. The school I attend requires all sophomores and juniors to complete a 70-hour internship during the summer before junior and senior year as well as travel abroad once before graduation, so Rustic Pathways seemed perfect for killing two birds with one stone. But what initially started off as a school requirement turned into much more than that. I learned how to communicate despite language barriers, how to appreciate the small things in life like bus rides, and along the way managed to have the most fun I've ever had in my life. I may not have directly impacted Rustic Pathways, but I know for certain that I impacted the group I traveled with simply by being transparent, listening when needed and speaking up at the appropriate time(s).…

Paper 2: Three Adjectives I could think of at least 20 good and bad adjectives that could capture my personality and ideology but there are only three main adjectives that truly show who I am as a person. I consider myself ambitious because I have to succeed in almost everything I do. I am also someone who is very reserved, it takes a long time for me to get comfortable enough to share anything about my personal life. My favorite adjective to describe myself is creative because although parts of me are creative it does not mean I am good at drawing, painting or sculpting.…

    Who We Are Analysis

Personality dictates our lives by molding the definition of “who we are” as a person—both as a reflection of oneself from another’s perspective and as a self-defined being. In a way one’s personality is like the stubborn stalk of a plant that has sprouted and grown inside you without showing. You can grapple, twist and bend it as much as you desire but it always seems to break away and grow back exactly the way it was. My personality is neither of the most desirable nor detestable kind, yet it does seem to sway my life in many ways to shape it the way it is. Despite the erratic nature of my personality, the possibility of observing the open, passionate side has not faded.…
