Based on my test scores my top three personalities are agreeableness, openness to experience, and conscientiousness. Openness to experience and conscientiousness were tied for second place. My openness to experiences allows me to be broad-minded and insightful. This personality trait is good for a work position that are always changing and no day is the same as the last. This describes my current work place. I always have different projects to work on and add or change my projects as I see fit. However, I am able to drop everything on a dime to help pick up or fix something happening somewhere else. I enjoy this type of work place because it is rarely repetitious and allows me the creative freedom to continuously improve my work and company. …show more content…
Because of this personality trait, I am typically able to get along with everyone and anyone. Even if I do not like someone, I am able to get along with him or her just like I would be able to with anyone else I would just not choose to spend my time around him or her. I try to be open and approachable to everyone. I keep an open door p[policy at work which fosters a cooperative workplace setting. I am also able to smooth over the most frustrated of customers with little effort, my goal on the phone is to hear a smile in their voice or at the very least an understanding with the removal of anger in the customer’s voice. However, this personality trait also makes me have to second-guess people in the work place to make sure they are not taking advantage of my agreeableness. I also do not react as high strung in different scenarios so I often do not see the problem until people are already reacting to it …show more content…
My organizations skills were put to the test trying to move everyone just one-step further in the project without a form of direct contact. My agreeableness received limited to no feedback because I could not see everyone or speak to everyone at the same time, which was extremely personally frustrating. My openness to experiences made me particularly excited for this class because as the manager for over 10 years I cannot receive true feedback from my employees because I hold a point of power, which causes them to censor

Other personalities are easy to react with because of my supportive attitude(Disc, Sanchez). Interacting is very easy because of my outgoing attitude which allows me to talk to others without being nervous or scared. When saying that I am supportive this means that I have a big heart and feel sympathy for what is going on in there lives and I am willing to sit down listen and help to figure out even the smallest problems. It is good that I am very supportive of others, but it allows them to be able to use or walk on me because I do not have a strong back bone. In order for an organization to function at the highest level of productivity, managers must focus on empowering individuals in order to strengthen the group rather than enforcing autocratic leadership to force the individuals to serve the needs of the group. Managers themselves also need to know their own strengths and weaknesses based on their personality types as well as common strengths and weakness for personality types present in their employees. For instance, a people with an Introversion-iNuition-Feeling-Perception (INFP) personality type might be best motivated for the purpose of serving the well-being of others; however, these same INFP personality…

When examining the big five personality traits it is important to know that each of these traits is what makes up a person 's personality. The first characteristic is extraversion. This is the individual’s comfort of other people and how they interact around them. In my opinion, this trait is the one that sticks out the most out of them all because in order to succeed in life you must know how to deal with other people and manage them because you can always change yourself, not other people.
