Ambition is something every person needs for getting tasks accomplished and making decisions on a day to day basis with confidence. In the book Outcasts United, Luma has lots of ambition to overcome the obstacles in the decisions she makes. When Luma decides to move to the United States it takes her ambition to feel confident enough to go through with her decision. ”Luma had what she described as a kind of awakening” “Luma fell in love with this place and transferred for her sophomore year” -Pg 21. The reason this takes ambition is because this decision changes her life in a very drastic way.
