This is due the porousness of the border region between the two countries. Fighters can traverse the border area with relatively little resistance. It is, therefore, difficult to monitor potential assailants who might illicitly enter the country. Potential assailants could easily purchase the items needed to make bombs without inside of Somalia. Those materials could then be smuggled into country without the knowledge of law enforcement. Assailants could remain undetected in Addis Ababa before the attack is carried out on the US embassy. Government officials should continue to monitor the group. Efforts should be made to push attackers to secondary targets. These would be areas in which the affects of the attack would be less. Increased security measures should be taken at all United States government offices in the region, as an attack on US targets in the region is imminent. The effects of such an attack would be costly. Human life would be lost and regional could be threatened should such an attack
