Protection- Protecting your injured ankle is necessary. Wearing a removable plastic cast is ideal, along with crutches.
Rest- Bedrest is the easiest way to keep your ankle safe.
Ice- Ice the ankle, but only once the ankle is no longer swollen.
Compression- Compress the ankle to get rid of the swelling.
Elevation- Elevate the ankle above the heart.
