What is index case? |
The first case that brought attention about a dxs outbreak to an epidemiologist with a studied population. Not necessarily the PRIMARY case. |

Who is a carrier? |
One that harbours a dxs but without any clinical symptoms of the presence of the dxs. They are capable of infecting others. (Elements in a carrier state). |
