Banquo reaffirms that Macbeth is not only the thane of Cawdar and Glamis, but also the King of Scotland. He suspects that Macbeth acquired the title by unholy means. The predictions of the three witches were accurate. However, they also indicated that Banquo would be the father of many Kings. If the witches are right, are they were before, the throne of Scotland is not permanently of Macbeth. He glances at the possibility that his sons and grandsons can be the future Kings of Scotland if the three weird sisters predicted them to be. He is aware that he and his family are most probably in danger. If Macbeth can cheat his way to the throne, he can deceive and murder to keep it.
