since we hadn 't spent time together, just us, in years. It was incredibly awkward and neither of us had a lot to say. We ate tacos and discussed about how I can do better in Spanish, then saw a movie I had already seen three times. But on the way home the topic of books came up, which without a doubt, is one of my passions and his as well. So the drive home was interesting and engaging and I began to feel more comfortable. Spring break, my family decided to pack up and head down to Utah to hike Zion National Park. A perfect place to grow closer together and see God 's beauty. It was a major stepping stone in our relationship.…

Everyday, people come up to me and ask my story. Everyday, I tell them the same thing. “I am an old man,” I say, “I have no story that will interest you.” In the years since the event, not once have I uttered words about the shoes. Today, I shall tell you my story. My story begins in the blistering hot sun of Peru. I had come…

In 1872, President Ulysses S. Grant signed a bill creating Yellowstone as the first National Park (The National Parks 2009), which is considered an area of land that is being protected from human exploitation and occupation (West & Brechen n.d.).
