I plan to become certified to teach grades EC – 6th. My strong desire is to teach 5th grade. After reviewing the website to locate the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) writing standards for the 5th grade level, I found that only 4th and 7th grade had writing standards. School is a very boring place to be. You have to be ready for almost anything.
