    Chicago’s criminal reputation also intrigues visitors. Despite Chicago’s infamous criminals and housing projects, Chicago has become an attractive tourist destination because of its architecture and sports. Wrigley Field symbolizes Chicago and its historic architecture. In the article “Architecture View; Wrigley Field: A Baseball Park That Radiates Joy” by Paul Goldberger, Goldberger wrote about Wrigley Field’s importance and its power to spread happiness. It was seen that Chicago’s Wrigley Field was and still is significant when Goldberger wrote “For this extraordinary baseball park, this amiable pile of steel and bricks and concrete that despite careful maintenance still shows every one of its 74 years, seems to radiate more joy than all the domed stadiums of the last generation put together,” (Goldberger). The famous Wrigley Field, home to the Chicago Cubs, has been around for more than 70 years making the field’s architecture largely different than the architecture of the city today. Its “pile of steel and bricks and concrete” is much more than it seems; It is an icon for Chicago and is truly a beautiful sight to be seen. One does not get to see old fields like this anymore which is a main reason for its attractiveness to visitors.
