and then others use these places for education reasons, to observe these exotic animals behavior or how they do certain actions since zoos are a more reachable source where you can view with your own eyes and opinions than taking someone’s word on these animals on T.V. or paying tons of money just to get their research, although zoos may be a good source to observe the conditions of these animals, these animals as well act much different due to being held in captivity, which Captive Animals Protection Society quotes about the elephants in zoos with “A government-funded study of elephants in UK zoos found that 54% of the elephants showed stereotypies (behavioural problems) during the daytime. One elephant observed during day and night stereotyped for 61% of a 24-hour period”. Even if you were not at the zoo to see these animals for the research of their behavior, these living creatures should be treated equal. Although these animals bring such amazement to the human eye, these exotic animals are unstable with being torn away from their families and homes to be put in rather a very small area with a few of their own kind, and if these animals tried expanding their species in the zoo, The European Association of Zoos and Aquaria claimed in 2007 on how the members of the Zoo were encouraged to kill any unwanted animals so that “They wouldn’t take up space”. How would you feel if you were alone in a small area, away from your home just for the mere cause of…

The 1930 Yiddish film, “Uncle Moses,” written by Sholem Asch and Maurice Schwartz portrays a story of Uncle Moses, a wealthy, powerful sweatshop owner who falls in love with Masha, an employee’s teenage daughter. The film greatly portrays a rich, oblivious man who struggles to find and receive love due to his narcissistic nature. In both the readings and film, it is easily perceived that Masha has a negative attitude towards Uncle Moses and is clearly marrying him out of financial and social…

There are no flat characters in our world, and Hemingway made sure there was no flat characters in his world either. His push to make each character be more than just a stereotypical man and his wife is quite admirable. This should be a lesson that we should bring into the way we…

However, even then, no one in his factory was ever mal-treated in any way. And as the…
