There are many debates as to why people are against men and women’s identities being made public they say it goes against everything our penal system has put for us to go by. Many sex offenders use the registry to help them change their own information, they sometimes find out how to alter their names and how to change their weight and height and this makes them less vulnerable to the police being able to find them. If sex offender’s do not report if they move they can be arrested in that town and own a fine for not reporting that they move, or if they change their appearance they have to go to the police station and get a new picture updated of them. The authorities have to take special precautions towards sex offenders because we do not know what they are capable of and they could be extremely dangerous. Sex offenders should be made public because they pose such a huge threat to society and they will do anything to kidnap anybody to sexually assault them. On the other hand they could have just made one mistake but they should be on the sex offender registry because society deserves to know who is a huge threat to everybody. Many states in the United States abide by the laws that we have to put the information of sex offenders out in the public so we are protected, and we should be able to know who to avoid when we are out in public.
