    Running Head: WHITE MALE PRIVILEGE 1 White Male Privilege Miranda J. Repass Stautzenberger College In this paper I will be explaining what white male privilege is and the significance of it. White male privilege is a term for societal privilege which benefits white males. White male privilege is the idea used to examine social, political, and economical advantages or rights made possible to only men because of their gender and race. Today we face white male privilege in many situations from everyday things that go in life to more severe things like imprisonment for sexual assault. One example of white male privilege that has really caught my attention recently is the People vs. Brock Turner case. Turner was caught sexually assaulting a 22 year old unconscious women when being pulled off of her by two other stanford students. On January 15, 2015 Brock Turner a former Stanford University swimmer was indicted on January 28, 2015 on five charges two for rape, two for felony sexual assault, and one for attempted rape. He was arraigned on February 2, 2015, pleading not guilty on all five charges. Turner was sentenced five years but Judge Persky that long…
