    since I browse and done a thorough research to get to know more about U.S education system. Being chosen as one of the lucky few Malaysians to study in the States by Public Service Deputy or known as Malaysia Government, it was time for me to make my choice of the university that I will spend four years in. State University of New York at Buffalo (UB) is definitely on my sponsor’s ‘recommended’ list, on top of the list, to be exact. There was something in me that said, “this is it”. And sure enough, I hit on the Internet to know more about this great university. Honestly speaking, before this I never know that the University of Buffalo is a comprehensive public research university. Be part of the State University of New York that located in Western New York, this university actually is the largest of the SUNY schools with ambitious plans for future growth where the imagination sparks innovation. Finally, I made my mind that UB would definitely be my number one choice based on the following reasons: The open policy of UB to Asian students, the vibrant economy of Buffalo, the affordable cost of living, and the wonderful environment in Buffalo. Speaking of its openness towards accepting Asian students, I find that this would be a great chance for me to get to be involved in an atmosphere where I would live with people from all over the world, for I know that the United States is known globally as a melting pot of cultures and ethnicities.
