Georgia is in continent of North America and is in the southeast. The colonization began in 1732, founded by James Oglethorpe with the help of King George the Second. Oglethorpe wanted to help the poor and debt people in London. Since they needed to protect their colony from Spain, so they needed weapons, uniforms, and a flag to represent Georgia. Flags in Georgia have been evolved many times over years. Georgia Unofficial Flag In 1861-1879, during the Civil War, Georgia did not have an official state flag. The unofficial state flag is called “Bonnie Blue Flag”. But after changes, the flag turn into “Georgia Militia Flag” which has three columned arch in the center of the state flag. The words on the state flag says Constitution, Justice, Wisdom, and Domination. The unofficial flag continued after the Civil War’s end 1865. Georgia’s Official Flag In 1879-1902, Heman H.
