One week. That’s how much longer it was until Cinder’s death. That’s how much longer it was until she was sent into the Forest of Death, permanently becoming an Outcast. She wanted to live life to the fullest, but how could she when death was so close? Cinder couldn’t get to sleep that night, she just continued to paw the ground as the stars twinkled high up in the sky. When she was one month old, the shadows of the alleyway used to always scare her, but now Cinder considered the alleyway as a home.
