Dear Principal, Hot for lava and hard for beds! We should be allowed to take a trip to the Lava Beds. The Lava Beds are located in northeastern California and are the largest formed from volcano eruptions. It is also known as California’s “best kept secret” because of its location. We should go to the Lava Beds because of education, features, exercise and leisure. A visit to the lava beds would provide a significant history lesson. The history, landscape, and findings would be beneficial to students who have an interest in history, specifically individuals who would like to study geology, archaeology and even paleontology. Due to their hidden nature, the caves do not attract as many tourists in comparison to more notorious historical sites such as Yosemite National Park, but not all children get to experience an interesting or beneficial time. However, tours of the caves do not have to be scheduled and exploring the caves would give insight for further study by collecting data and noting findings. According to research, there have been over 700 caves founded in the area of the Lava Bed National Monument. Because of the nature of the area, it is important for explorers or students to dress appropriately paying close attention to safety. Dress attire should be comfortable and able to withstand to notable average temperatures of fifty-five degrees. Even though the temperature is on the cool side, students could still have an interesting time because most schools require…

In the Roman Empire, England, France, and the Middle East, ever since people have been around, there has always been conflict and war, a common theme being inhumanity. For example, in World War I, mustard gas produced terrible blisters on soldiers who were exposed to it and those causing this pain felt no sympathy. While war is still ongoing in the world, Europe is much more peaceful today than it was a hundred years ago and people in general are being taught to resolve conflict in a more humane…

Do you think that Paul can justly claim to speak for the younger generation when he talks about the effects of the war? Personally, I think that he can speak justly for his entire generation about the effects of the war. I think this because of how large of an impact World War I had on the world. So many people were displaced, suffered losses, and died in general. The land where the battles were fought were ravaged and littered with hastily buried men and massive craters. The soldiers were under…

The telephone was impractical and costly to the success of their offensive plan. 50,000 metres of telephone cable was unraveled, however, beyond the front, the cable laid on the battlefield were utterly useless, as they were instantly destroyed by shells. The Germans did not suffer these problems. Even for gunners to distinguish between friend or foe, relied on inaccurate means of communication, where British soldiers were ordered to wear pieces of tin on their back, in order to avoid being shot…
