I wake up in my bed and see busy streets outside of my 2 story house. Rosett, my sister, is the only family member alive that I have. She wakes up before me and is dressed in a full military training outfit, coming downstairs once she hears I’m awake. I then get dressed in a military general outfit, and we both get ready for a usual, boring day. We eat eggs, bacon, and a sandwich. I drive Rosett to her training school. “Don’t get into trouble Rose (Her nickname).” “I won’t Danny (My nickname).” She responds. In the middle of the day, I get a call from the office. They say my sister is going up a 2 story building. I quickly report to her school and meet her in the office. “Morning,” I say to the office staff. “Your sister has too much trouble in this school, and I have made the decision she may leave earlier than most students since she has passed all the tests.” “I’m sure of that too Mr. Clint. I will have her out of this school tomorrow, putting her in command of an officer.” “Glad to hear that Daniel,…

Wake up Eddie, wake up. It’s past nine. You’re going to be late; I hear a fading voice inside my head from far apart. As I open my eyes I see my mom shaking my body to wake me up. I checked the clock hanging on the wall and it was nine past fifteen. I quickly jumped off my bed and ran towards the bathroom. When I came out my mom had a suit and pant with a nice tie ready for me for the day. How could you sleep-in in a day like today, my mom asked. I couldn’t fall asleep last night. The…

However, every time, my…

With The Dawn “Wake up!” He sounds desperate, he thinks. He is desperate, he realizes. Funny. He hadn’t thought he would care. It takes a while for Lucas to open his eyes, and when he does, there is the dim shape of his once-brother kneeling beside him. Lucas closes his eyes again briefly, reaching upwards with stiff limbs to press the frozen heels of his palms into his eye sockets. “Thank fuck, you unconscionable bastard,” muttered Reg, leaning back on his heels, and when Lucas…

“Kylar wake up’” my mom yelled. I was so tired. It was 7:30am the first day of school. I didn’t want to do anything except go back to sleep. Another reason I didn’t want to get up was because I was nervous. But a voice in my head encouraged me to get up. So I did my regular morning routine and ate breakfast. If I were to wake up as a woman I would initially be shocked. I would probably think this was a deep seeded nightmare from the time I had a final on female hormones and their reproductive system. I would get up from my bed and look at myself with both a sense of fascination and horror. I would honestly be intrigued as to how something like this happened. I’d eventually find no reasonable explanation and give up, chalking up all my memories of being a male to being one really realistic dream. I…
