This would mean that the U.S Virgin Islands will have the right to vote for the next U.S president, debt will be handled more efficiently, and better health care will be provided. There are lots of other advantages for being a state, but these three topics are the most important ones. The right to vote has always been important to many people, you’ll be able to choose the person who signs laws, speaks for the people, and solve problems through treaties. However, what if they make a bill that’s not…

If I had the opportunity to go anywhere in the world, it would be the Virgin Islands. The Virgin Islands and Texas are the exact opposite of one another. Texas unlike the Virgin Islands is filled with dead scorched lands. It is very rare one gets a chance to be able to see crystal clear water with all sorts of green exotic vegetation and wildlife. One condition is that if I were to go my family would also go. I have always told my parents that someday I will be able to repay them back for…

Crime is a major problem in United States Virgin Islands (USVI). One cannot turn on the television or radio without hearing about another crime that was committed. Crime has increased tremendously over the last few years and something must be done to combat it. But first one must determine where crime stems from. According to Burton’s Legal Thesaurus (2007), “Crime is a violation of a law in which there is injury to the public or a member of the public and a term in jail or prison, and/ or a…

I recollect as a youngster growing up on the resplendent island of St. Croix being an active member of my elementary school’s quadrille group. I was about ten years old. I recollect learning how to macramé in summer camp. I recollect learning how to paint mocko jumbies, and make papier mache fishes in art class. As a child art was a consequential…
