    Sigmund Schlomo Freud was born May 6th, 1856 in Pribor, Czech Republic. He was the first born of eight children of his Jewish family which was not finically stable. In 1857 his father lost his job and the family had to move to Vienna. When Sigmund was younger he knew a significant amount of different languages such as German, French, Italian, Hebrew, Greek, and Latin. After he graduated high school he studied at the University of Vienna where he graduated with his degree as a Doctor of Medicine in 1881. Sigmund made a decision that he did not know would impact his life greatly when he decided to travel to Paris in October 1885 where he studied with Jean-Martin Charcot, a neurologist. On this trip he realized that neurology was not what he wanted to do and that he was made to do bigger things.
