I was born and raised in Michigan. I grew up in an area known as Downriver, where I still reside today. My high school and the barn where I work/volunteer are both within 3 miles of my home, which is why moving to Michigan State University in East Lansing to join the other 50,000 undergraduate students was such a substantial change. I’ve always been adaptable and driven to succeed, so the adjustment to life in East Lansing was not a difficult one for me. Since I’ve been enrolled as a student at Michigan State University, I was granted the extraordinary opportunity to work at the Michigan State University Horse Teaching & Research Center while also being involved in both the Stock Seat Equestrian Team and the Horse Judging Team where I’ve been extremely successful. I am the current Lesson Captain of the equestrian team and plan to continue holding a board position for the rest of my time on the team. Not to be outdone, I was presented with a Reserve National Championship this year in Tulsa, Oklahoma while competing with the Judging Team at the U.S Arabian National Horse Show. I am a highly dedicated and passionate person who just happened to be lucky enough to find a niche in the horse world. Even when I’m not actively competing on these teams you can find me at the fundraisers and events that are put together…

In the world we live in now it is very easy to overlook the importance of community.
