    From professors to politicians, many esteemed individuals give talks at the center and provide unique information and ideas. These speakers are often difficult to book, and it takes a great deal of work by the planning committee to set up and promote these events. The Overture Center is not just for this who like the arts or have money to spend on expensive shows. The center attracts a large audience with its variety of events. One such event is the “Night at the Overture” which takes places every fall. This event is only open to University students, and they get in for free with a student ID. While free food may be the draw for many students, the myriad of events and experiences keep them there throughout the night. During the event, students can see a variety of performances by there peers and professionals. One of the large theaters allows students to hear performances from the many signing groups at the University. Another theater allows students to see a professional magician and other entertainers.
