Ultimate Marvel was aimed towards millennials; it is a generation of comics made in 2000 to 2015 to represent updated versions of the superheroes that were previously different. You will realize that when you read how many of the plots actually were compared to how they are now when you continue your endeavors. What you have under this imprint of comics are: "Ultimate" in the name, such as "Ultimate Spiderman," "The Ultimates," and "Ultimate X-Men," and etc. The characters that exist in these comics are ones that don't necessarily exist in the regular Earth-616 Marvel Universe, which is the default universe most comics are in. So, if you do decide to get into Spiderman from 2008, then the origin is similar to where it started. And, they say, if you don't like an origin story of how it began there is a high chance you will not like it in the long run. No matter who creates it and changes it and makes it their own. All origin stories are quite similar to where they began, and what is better than to start at the beginning and then…

If you were asked to name a few superheroes, you would probably have Superman, Iron Man, Batman, and Captain America on your list first, and what they all have in common? They are all white males. And you would probably have to resort to Google to get yourself to name more than two minority heroes after Storm from X-Men and Green Lantern, not the Ryan Reynolds one. Straying away from the superhero criteria norm, Marvel recently rebranded Spider-Man as Miles Morales, a black hispanic kid and…

The first one was when my friend came up to me during lunch time and said, “Zac, do not be late for ultimate Frisbee today, it at 4:00 p.m.” When I originally heard this I took his statement as a caution to not be late, but from my knowledge of metacommunication I also viewed this a few different ways. The first I viewed it was that he could have been implying for me to be on time because I am usually late to ultimate Frisbee. The second way that I viewed it that he was warning me not to be late…
