    Tyler Perry is one of America’s best writer because he dynamically portrays the black experience. Perry was born in New Orleans, Louisiana to his father Emmitt Perry, Sr. who’s highly abusive. On the other hand, his mother Willie Maxine Perry taught her son the fundamental values of love, family, perseverance through church. Perry’s writing is reflective of his family background from the character Medea. Moreover, Perry’s is subjectively and objectively geared towards portraying black issues in the United States in a humorous fashion. Critics such as Thdore Harrison III accuses Perry of negatively portraying the black experience. Perry’s following movie/play like “Dairy of a Mad Black Women”, “Meada Goes To Jail”, and “Meada Family Reunion” again show the unseen side of America. Mainstream media at most times doesn’t truthfully depict black issues because it may not produce high economic value.
