This weeks class was on worldviews, cosmologies, and religion and how it relates to healthcare. It was interesting to see how various types of cultures have different views and how sometimes it can be source of conflicts when deciding on health care interventions. I redid the Astro chart and I had to look at my birth certificate to see what time I was born at. I usually don’t believe in these astrological signs or palm reading but it doesn't hurt to look. My rising sun, or the first impression that I give to people, actually describes me quite well. I “tend to be quiet, reserved, secretive and, at times, quite difficult to understand”. I have been told that I am a negative thinker, but I explain that it always good to be cautious. There isn't danger at every corner, but to be aware that certain activities can lead to be dangerous is important. The sun, who I naturally am is accurate. I I tend in to hold in my feelings because I don't know how to say them so people often see me as quiet but I worry and think a lot. Something that I have to work on is getting less angry. I am not an angry person and I rarely get angry, but when I do it is pretty bad and leads to me being unforgiving. I tend to let go and forget because it is not good to hold in the anger. The moon, my deepest soul, was interesting. I never realized that I was “freedom oriented”. I wouldn't say that I hate taking orders, but I do like having my options open. Overall this reading just reminds me that in each…

In the background, Jingyan heard another set of doors open and close, a sign that Zhanying left the house to return to his…
Today is the day that my team and I had been working on all season. It’s competition day. Now this year I feel we have a good chance. We have been practicing non-stop from the sun up to sundown; there was no such thing as downtime. We had an awesome dance routine and one of the best crowd-pleasers around. But to top it off we had a killer stunt at the end that was sure enough going to win us first place. “Alright, ladies. It is time for everyone to get up and get dressed.” My coach said as…

Clive Barker, the author of the novel The Thief of Always, develops the story well using the setting to drop hints and symbolize elements of the story. Harvey, on a mission to get back his childhood and destroy Mr. Hood and his Holiday House, encounters lots of interesting places, which are used as clues in the book. The setting is very important to the plot, and builds depth. The setting is a key element in the Thief of Always. Millsap, the town which Harvey lives in, is one of the biggest…
